1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 oz melted unsweetened chocolate
(I have to admit that I never have the stuff in the house so instead I
use 4 tbs butter and 3/4 cup baking cocoa - plus a heaping tbs or so extra)
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
powdered sugar for rolling in before baking

Mix oil, chocolate and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time until well mixed (scrape down sides of bowl after each addition). Beat in vanilla. Stir in flour, powder and salt until mixed. Chill several hours (or freeze for 2 hours). Drop a teaspoonful of dough into powdered sugar and coat it then place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 min at 350 degrees fahrenheit. Cool a minute or two then remove to a wire rack to completely cool. Store in airtight container. May be frozen after baking so long as they are completely cool before putting them in there.
