Flemish Beef Stew
from J., 4/23/03:
2 largeish onions sliced
2lb Stewing steak cubed
1/2lb mushrooms (optional)
1 bottle Guiness (or other stout or porter)
Saute onions.
Toss meat in seasoned flour (salt, black pepper, mustard powder & paprika) then brown in with onions.
Add Guinness and allow to simmer gently until done.
Serve with... mash, rice, noodles, crusty bread or other carb if doing and veggie of choice.
